What are things made of?
Do you know where the material comes from?
Do you know how things are made?
Who are making them?
I am alway curious and want to find out answers by myself, it it's possible. I love to dig in in the process, try with my own hands. To see better, feel it, think about it and take action!
After 3 years experimenting with Estonian local goat leather, last summer I made 5 pairs of sandals (photos and posting about
it soon). Every pair is different kind. They all are little bit different but unique.

Summer 2022

During my studies and my MasterTheses investigations I experimented different things.

Now I know how does it feel for farmers, to not know what to do with the goatskin?

Now I know how to do leather tanning by myself.

Now I know how to make parchment from 0 to real material.

Now I know how does it feel to make shoes with local farmers material?

Now I know how Leather Tannery works in Estonia and outside?

Now I know how to make better quality and durable shoes from Estonian vegetable tanned leather and from chrome leather.

Now I know how people react when they can order and use handmade shoes from local material.
(I was using all this summer 2022 ButterFly sandals and had honour to make them also for 4 clients (for testing).

Now I know the value of collaborations and things can get better if everybody of us just act!

Not perfect, Just Unique!

Millest asjad tehtud on? Kust tuleb materjal? Kuidas asjad tehtud on? Kes selle taga on?
Olen uudishimulik ja kirglik küsimuste esitaja? Tahtsin näha paremini, miks Eesti Nahka ei kasutada väärikalt ära? Niisiis kuulsin, uurisin, mõtlesin ja tegutsesin. Katsetasin 3 aasta vältel omal nahal protsessi läbi, et mõista, analüüsida, leida lahendust ning luua suuremat pilti Eesti Naha olemusest läbi oma magistritöö.
Ei pea kaugelt otsima materjali, et midagi luua, vaid tuleb silmad lahti teha!

Clog
like a Dog

Wood Clogs where inspired of movement and love for dogs.
All made of Andri-Peedo goat farm "leftover" as material Leather..
For the First time I wanted to try black Estonian leather for shoes, but I could not get it, so I painted it black myself. It came pretty good and mixed with natural tone.
When you walk on these Clogs, you get all eyes on you, cause they move like a Dog in the Wind!

Making shoes from Estonian coat leather. My Master studies and research is about find solution for Estonia local leather. Mayor part of it today is leftover for farmers.
These shoes are made from local Andri-Peedo goat farm leather. Co-working as well with Estonia shoe factory to inspire use more local material.

Golden Tango

In January 2021 I was for a while in Argentina and knocked on shoemakers doors. One of them open the door for me and teached me how to make tango shoes. One step closer to dance tango in these shoes.

BIG Bag VALTER

It's a big thing to have sometimes a Big bag and that it's made of trash.
It's classy, it's endless, just digg in and find suprises inside the BIG bag Valter.
But it's more than that, a big thing. It's important to see "big picture" how things are made. It's made from Estonian Footwear company SAMELIN leftovers.

Handmade shoes
Mrs. King

Mrs. King is all about handmade pair of shoe. In this project we also made our own personal wood lasts. They are handmade and command a serious time dedication, they still need to be finished due to lack of time. Inspired from the elegant era of the 1920s.

I am honored that my designed was also picked and was selected for production.
Ivo Nikkolo is the most famous Estonian fashion brand. In this project we had oportunity to collaborate and design the "It Bag" collection.

LINSTRÖM project-Trash to Laptop bag

This project was co-work with Linström, design product from industrial clothes- Linström leftover.
The laptop bag is made from vest. Used almost all the material, only 5% got left from the vest and for straps used from apron. Rest of the apron could be used for another product- cotton shopping bag.

LOOK at the TRASH

TOSS LIND

Sneakers Nike Air Force footwear Workshop 13-17 January 2020. We had quick work progress. In 5 days I had to finish my sneakers. In this project I used different colours of natural leather. Inspired by nature- a bird flying above the forest. Lind means a bird in Estonian.

My very first 5 day Shoe Workshop in Estonia Academy of Arts, October 2019.
In this workshop I made my very first shoe Mrs. Suss.
Inspired by comfortabel slippers with elastic, to get them on - off easily.
